An exploration of responses of obsession and numbness to isolation through three cryptid characters. The first is the Cruel, a star plucked from their home & cursed to wander the Earth. The second is the Comforted. Though they were once a human, the real world was too overwhelming for them to remain in and they escaped by sea. These two characters live in the same world, but will never know of one another. Their stories are linked by the character of is the Condemned- a trickster that plucks the Cruel from its home yet also who holds the Comforted out of the strong tide.
